STACEY CALMA MEMIJE

I have always been drawn to sports as a young kid, I was in the swim team and raced triathlons in college. My body craved yoga for respite from the rigorous training. I found the dynamism of Ashtanga very attractive and continued practicing it for over ten years after that first class. I finished a 200-hour Teacher training course in Ashtanga in 2007 and traveled several times to Mysore, India to learn from Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath.

But then life changed when I had a family and growing kids to care for, that’s when I needed a change and found LYT yoga in 2020. It gave me the energy I needed to fulfill my needs and the needs of those I love most. It brings me the strength, resilience, and tenacity I need for growth and allows me to live a joyful and meaningful life for myself and I’m able to bring that to those who come to learn from me.

Opened my studio in September ’23, happily witnessing people of all ages grow strong and adaptable in their bodies and life.
