Primary StudioHI FI Yoga
Yoga has been a part of my life for 10 years. I was an avid runner and took my first class from a power yoga teacher to help prevent injuries. I fell in love with yoga in that class. I decided to become a teacher so I could share my passion for yoga with others. I completed my 200 hour Vinyasa Flow training in July 2019 and completed my 200 hour LYT training in June 2020. My classes are a dynamic Vinyasa Flow integrating core work and breathing techniques with creative sequencing and a spirit of playfulness. While I love the physical aspect of yoga, I believe movement is medicine so I incorporate smart, safe and more conscious movement patterns in every class. My classes allow you to unplug for one hour to balance your mind, move your body and focus on the present moment.
Giving back to the community is the cornerstone of what I do. I began teaching a group of four firefighters in a sweaty weight room at a firehouse. Word slowly spread and the classes grew. When I started teaching it was purely from a physical aspect. I realized firefighters need more than that. I began to incorporate mindful breathing and functional movement in each class.
