Primary StudioYoga by Lyndsey
Lyndsey is a yoga teacher living in New Jersey with her husband and three children. She had practiced yoga on and off for many years, and found her way back to her mat in 2016 as a way to create space and find some balance during a particularly challenging time in her life.
Yoga helped her manage her anxiety and feel both grounded and free in a way she had never experienced before. It gave her a way to quiet her thoughts, build strength and be of service to others.
In 2016, Lyndsey took the leap and enrolled in her first 200 hour training with Julie Gurevich and Heather Sheridan, earning her certification and gaining the knowledge, experience and confidence to start teaching in a studio setting. Most recently, Lyndsey has become a LYT™ certified instructor under the supervision and guidance of Lara Heimann.
LYT™ (Lara’s Yoga Technique) is a sophisticated method of practice that is based on the three principles of Physiology, Kinesiology and Neurology. With a core understanding of movement from a cellular level while highlighting the mechanics of how movement happens, LYT™ is an intense movement experience that systematically overrides the patterns of compensation and poor habits through an exploration of brain mapping and purposeful movement. Simple to both teach and practice, LYT™ classes emphasizing intelligent sequencing, smart cueing and alignment.
Lyndsey is committed to creating a safe space for any body to practice, learn and grow as they move intelligently, develop sustainable habits and have fun. She found a home on her own mat, and thrives on meeting her students wherever they are in their practice, challenging them to be stronger, more aware of their bodies, and to believe in themselves.
Lyndsey teaches a class that is both playful and challenging, and will remind you how much of a rockstar (a.k.a. bad*ss) you really are.
