Leslie Braverman has been practicing yoga since 1999 and teaching yoga since 2004 after studying with senior yoga teachers and yoga masters throughout the U.S. and India. What began as a way to find balance as she earned her Master of Science degree and worked as an Environmental Scientist, has become the focal point of her career.
In 2019, after struggling with multiple disc issues, a pervasive shoulder injury, and post-partum imbalances, Leslie sought out a mentorship with a local physical therapist to address injuries, continue her education, and infuse functional movement into her yoga classes. It took another year of searching before Leslie found physical therapist and yogi, Lara Heimann and the LYT Yoga method. With her strong background in science, Leslie was immediately drawn to the LYT Yoga method’s academic foundation connecting modern science with yoga asana. Leslie watched her injuries heal and stabilize while diving into a smart, creative, and very functional daily practice meant to sustain us for a lifetime.
Today, Leslie focuses on teaching classes that are functional, fun, and educational so her clients can feel great and do great things for the world. She lives with her two children and pets enjoying time in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest.
