Katie is Yoga Alliance E-200 RYT certified instructor and has been teaching since receiving her certification in 2013.
In 2020 she discovered LYT Yoga and completed her LYT Level 1 training in 2021.
Katie is passionate about teaching students of all ages and experience levels, yoga is not just for the young and/or flexible.
She been singing, dancing, and acting since age 12 and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. Performing demands energy and connection between yourself and the audience. Connection is an integral part of yoga. Yoga postures not only strengthen the body, but deepen our mind-body connection so that we learn how to care for our whole selves.
Katie strives for students to leave her classes feeling better, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Breath and movement allow us to process thoughts and emotions so they don’t stagnate and become physical ailments. By expanding our awareness, we avoid falling into the mindless traps and habits that don’t support our intentions and goals.
