SARKA KOCICKA

Hello, my name is Sarka and I am passionate about helping people build strength and mobility through functional movement-based yoga, to find freedom and joy on and off the mat.

In 2013, I completed my first 200-hour alignment-based Hatha and Vinyasa teacher training with Noah Maze, then in 2020, took the 200-hr LYT™ Yoga Method with Lara Heimann to learn more about anatomy, physiology, and neurology so I could help people post-surgery, with injuries or physical limitations.

My style is playful, positive, and informative, sharing optimal alignment cues and tips for a safe, sustainable practice. I teach all levels, all ages, and all abilities, and love working one-to-one in person and virtually, tailoring a personalized program to help you reach your goals.

Born in Brno, Czech Republic, I moved to Toronto at an early age and later Vancouver, Canada where I met my husband and lived around the world – New York City, Tampa, Seoul, Singapore, Australia, Bali, San Francisco, Austin, Vancouver – and settling in coastal North Carolina, my husband’s hometown State. I am a mom to two girls, ages 10 and 8, and a chocolate Lab.
