With nearly 20 years of experience in the health and wellness space, Christina’s professional background includes serving patients and clients within the public sector (National Institutes of Health), the private sector (academic and community hospitals), and a non-profit association. She has served in various supervisory roles and completed the NIH Senior Leadership Program in 2024.

Christina took her first hot yoga class in 2004, though a consistent practice didn’t stick until October 2012. She had recently finished her post-graduate pharmacy residency program and was looking for a new hobby to balance work-life and to improve physical health. A co-worker recommended a new hot yoga studio that opened a few blocks from the hospital. Christina purchased a 10 class pack – and the rest is history!

Christina solely practiced hot yoga (26&2 Bikram method and vinyasa) until early 2020, when she experienced a hip injury during a routine practice. As a pharmacist (and scientist), she was curious about what causes influenced the injury and how to prevent a future injury. Physical therapy (PT) sessions not only helped Christina heal & strengthen her hip flexors, but also inspired her to learn more core strengthening. She added pilates and barre classes to her movement repertoire and began to re-think how she instructed students in her yoga classes.

In 2023, Christina was introduced to the LYT Method, created by licensed physical therapist and celebrated yoga teacher Lara Heimann. She joyfully practiced with and learned from Lara and other PT/movement specialists to deepen her understanding of science-based movement. She infuses anatomy-based, sustainable movements into her current yoga and pilates classes.

Christina teaches Bikram hot yoga (26&2) and hot pilates at Hot Yoga Baltimore (MD) and Reunion Hot Yoga (DC). She also offers a Function & Form (LYT method) class at the Good Hope Neighborhood Rec Center (MoCo, MD).
