Alex completed her 200-hour certification with Lara during the summer of 2018. A former collegiate rower, she spent the last two years as the assistant coach of the Princeton women’s lightweight rowing team. She integrated her knowledge of training and technique from rowing with alignment and proper biomechanics from yoga in order to help the athletes become stronger and less injury-prone. She also taught YogaStream during this time and loves teaching upbeat and energetic classes with lots of opportunities for handstands!
She now lives in Manhattan, where she is studying nutrition and exercise physiology at Columbia University. In her free time, she enjoys rowing, running, hiking (anything outside and active!), cooking, and doing handstands.
