411. Taking A Solutionary Approach To The Challenges Of Our Lifetime
Zoe Weil is the co-founder and president of the Institute for Humane Education. A humane educator since 1985, Zoe has been giving people the tools to make humane and sustainable choices and solve entrenched challenges through her classes, workshops, and training programs.

Growing up Zoe was passionate about animals, but she had no idea how mistreated they were. Then, in school, she learned how recent some of the world’s biggest atrocities were: human trafficking, slavery, the holocaust. But she never thought she could do anything to help. It wasn’t until college that she realized she could make a difference. She became vegan to stop participating in the cruelty of the food industry and, in graduate school, she began teaching weeklong courses about environmental and animal issues. She realized that she could do this for the rest of her life.
